Ep 35: Building Resilience in Challenging Times
Wayne is joined by Michael “Hutch” Hutchison, Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer, inGroup International–formerly known as inCruises.
Michael “Hutch” Hutchison was just 25 years old when he went to work for Tony Robbins, and he says that experience helped him carve out his life’s mission. Determined to find a way to help people make money doing what they love—as well as finding a way to give back—Hutch and fellow entrepreneur Frank Codina created inCruises in 2015.
Recently rebranded as inGroup International to reflect its expanded offerings, it has become the world’s largest subscription-based travel membership club with members and partners in more than 190 countries. In 2022, it ranked No. 58 on the DSN Global 100 List, with revenues of $109 million.
One of the most compelling aspects of the inGroup International story is how the travel-based company made bold decisions during the pandemic that were polar opposite to most travel companies at that time.
In this episode of Direct Approach, Hutch shares how their company’s unusual but intentional approach to the pandemic reinforced their values and core principles. He also shares the importance of doing the right thing and taking care of people—no matter what challenges your company might be facing. And he talks about three things that every company can do right now to strengthen relationships and your business.
